The Prophecy -- Chapter 12: The Long Journey Ahead

I don't own Pokemon, obvious thing, it's Nintendo and Game Freak who owns it.
However, Flame, Giratina, Chirp, Blazing, Mighty, Cinnamon, Splash and Sting (personality and behavior) are creation of my mind.

- Good morning, everyone. We have much to do today. - I woke my comrades up. - I brought food. Eat well, for we don't know how long our trip will be. There aren't Berry bushes in the sea...
- So why don't we start eating proper food? I mean, there are Wingulls flying over the sea. We need proteins, you know. - Blazing roared.
- Do what you want, but I really don't believe Cinnamon and Chirp will like the idea. - Flame mumbled, yawning. - Also, berries provide us Pokemon all we need to live.
The duo glanced at us, happily eating two Pinap berries. Cinnamon waved her left paw at us, yellow berry juice dripping from it.
My attention was drawn to a still-sleeping figure next to me. Sting's snoring echoed through the whole forest, and I deeply feared that it could attract trainers to us. Then, I realized we were alone on a desert island and the only potential threat was Darkrai.
Pretty comforting thought, huh?
Sighing, Mighty trotted to Sting's side and poked his stomach. The scorpion stirred slightly, but remained in deep slumber. Flame sat beside me, scratching his ear with his hind paw.
- Well, we have two options; Giratina can levitate some water and drop it on him or I can blow some fire...
- No way. - I interrupted him. - Despite that, the first idea isn't exactly bad but not that good, either... - I started.
- What if we just jump on him? That should work. - Cinnamon suggested smiling as she leapt on Flame's head. Flame shook his head after yelping in surprise.
Chirp nodded from where he was, drawing on the ground with the berries' juice.
Mighty and Blazing, who stood side-by-side near the asleep one, shrugged. The hyena then took a step back, accidentally stepping on the scorpion's sting.
Good Arceus, what a loud shriek that Gliscor let out...
- WHY THA HELL DID YOU DO THAT FOR?! - He yelled, a mix of pain and rage in his face. His fury intensified as no answer came. Instead, the seven of us bursted into laugher.
- Well, it seems the fourth idea won. - Splash said from the river, winking at Mighty, who laughed even harder after the commentary.
- Enough of that. - I said, cleaning my throat afterwards. - Anyway, as I was saying before, we'll leave soon, so get ready. Time is definitely not on our side.
- Whatever... - Yawned Sting, earning another chuckle from Blazing. - Where's the food?
"Probably in their stomachs so far, sleepyhead.." I though to myself, rolling my eyes.
- Cinnamon and I saved some for you, mr. Sting. - Chirp, well, chirped, pointing towards a hollow tree with his foot.
- Good.'t least someone here cares 'bout me. - He glared daggers at us.
After Sting ate the whole pile of berries, we planned our trip. I glanced at the sky, hoping to find on it the answers we needed. It wasn't noon yet, that was for sure. Maybe nine-thirty or ten AM.
- So the Gliscor says he can keep up with us, Giratina. I highly doubt it,- Blazing shrugged. - But it's not my decision to make.
- Bah... The weather is clear. No fog, no strong winds... He may be able to fly by himself. - I thought aloud. - Besides, it's not like we have any other options. I can't carry any more Pokemon...
- Neither can I. - He sighed. - It's settled then. Once again, I'll lead. Giratina will come on the right and Sting on the left. Understood?
- Hm? Erm, ya. Yessir! - Sting bowed his head a little. - Do I hafta carry someone?
- That won't be needed, lad. Thank you. - Flame replied, showing a slim smile.
- Okay. - I voiced, turning around to face Mighty. - Hop on, you two. - He and Flame quickly complied, the latter barking softly when ready.
I glanced at Blazing, Cinnamon nestled on his hands and Chirp resting on his head.
On the Charizard's other side, stood Sting, gliding from tree to tree.
- So, next stop is...? - The Gliscor asked.
- Acuity Lake. - Blazing said dryly, preparing to rise - At least, that's what I heard.
- Correct. It's much closer than Celestic Town. - I calmly answered, avoiding any further arguments that could only delay our leave. - Shall we go now?
- Yup. - Sting rose, performing acrobatics in the air. - Are you Slowpokes comin'? - He asked in a teasing tone.
- Holy Fire, why did we even accept him in our squadron anyway? We are trying to save the world, not play... - Blazing sighed.
- What are you talking about, Blazing? Mr. Sting is funny. - Cinnamon giggled at the Gliscor, who was asking directions to a Wingull. Splash yelled at him for he should be following Blazing and me, as we knew which way to take.
- Just ignore him, Blaze, you'll get used. - Flame smiled, adding afterwards - Err, eventually.
The dragon snorted, rolling his eyes.
- Thanks for the reassurance, Flame.
I chuckled, casting a glance to the sky above. Miraculously, the sky was a bright blue, and the sun wasn't covered by a single cloud. Such a sunny weather had, however, some disadvantages. For a first, it was extremely hot, and my back was damp in sweat. Also, it made our flight more tiring. Not much after that, Sting flew back to us, panting heavily.
- GIRATINA, BLAZING, MIGHTY, CHIRP, CINNAMON, SPLASH AND FLAME. THESE CAN BE MY LAST WORDS, SO PAY ATTENTION! - He dramatically gasped for air, as if he was really dying. - I CAN'T TAKE THIS ANYMORE, PLEASE HELP YOUR COMRADE IN THIS TIME O' NEED!
- What do you want, Sting? - I impatiently asked.
- I BEG YA, DARK LORD, PLEASE CARRY ME ON YOUR BACK TOO! I DON'T HAVE ANY STRENGTH LEFT IN ME...
- For the love of... DID WE STOP FOR THIS?! MY WINGS ARE ACHING ALREADY!
- Hop on, Sting. We are all tired, so try not to make our lives harder. - I sharply cut in, soon taking notice of the extra weight on my back. I took a deep breath, trying to keep a steady speed. In about an hour, we could see the coast. Now, the travel was easier, since the weather was milder, meaning we were approaching Snowpoint City.
- You know, - Blazing spoke in low voice, trying not to wake Cinnamon and Chirp up - even though the trip from Canalave to Newmoon Island was longer, it was more pleasant than this.
- That's because we could at least stop and rest a little on Iron Island and that other little one. - I chuckled.
- And it was night. A very cold night. - Mighty added.
- Indeed. - I answered under my breath.
After about half an hour, we finally landed.
- THANKS ARCEUS, MY GOOD LORD. - Sting quickly rose from my back, starting to gather leaves, branches and everything he could use to make a shelter. I decided to look for a good place to sleep, while Mighty and Flame went to gather food. Cinnamon and Chirp were sleeping peacefully on my head and Blazing was getting firewood.
I finally found a suitable glade. While I waited the other four to come, I dug a hole where Splash could stay and another one to keep the food. Soon, Sting was gliding over the trees, looking for me. I used my telekinesis to carry him and his materials to the glade and shot a Shadow Ball to the sky, signaling my location to the rest of the group.
I left him alone there and went to get some water. When I returned, carrying a great amount of water and Splash, the whole team was organizing our camp.
After I had placed the Magikarp on his new place, I helped them build our temporary HQ. We used some of the leaves, branches and spider silk Sting got to make a roof, in case it rained.
- Good job, everyone! - I smiled, after we finished. - Now, who wants to come to Acuity Lake? It's only a quick recon mission, so I don't think we all should go.
- Mighty knows how to move unnoticed. - Blazing pointed out - I, in other hand, am big, heavy and clumsy. I will only disturb the mission.
- I'm too tired to go... - Sting moved his foot closer to me.
- Are you coming, Flame? - I asked.
He nodded vigorously, running forward.
- I haven't seen Aunt Uxie for years! - He grinned, wagging his tail like a eager puppy.
- Aunt Uxie? - Mighty asked, clearly confused. - What's next, Grandpa Arceus?
- Ahh... Shut up. - Flame replied. - I was adopted by a legendary Pokemon, that's acceptable.
- He's right... - I sighed. - Besides, Flame hasn't seen Master Uxie many times. I only came here trice while raising him. Always asking for wisdom and guidance for my little pup.
Flame turned around and barked at us, hurrying us up.
I let out a hearty chuckle. While morphed into a smoke cloud, I could move somewhat faster than in my other two forms. Mighty could keep up with little effort.
Soon enough, I would finally see my teacher again.
OMG! What's this? A new chapter? YEAH! I'M REALLY BACK NOW! (And I promise I won't leave you guys again).
This update was kind of rushed, so I will review grammar and spelling tomorrow. Also, I'll edit a few previous chapters. I'm trying to give my characters more personality.
I may post the next chapter tomorrow if I have time.
Thanks everyone for reading, and I hope you all like this chapter of The Prophecy.
See you soon :D
EDIT 10/01: Changed a few words and checked spelling.
